Women’s month, a month to honour, a month to celebrate, a month to reflect, a month to inspire and be inspired, this has been the trend this month.

The university of Pretoria stands as the leading institution with 53% of female researchers, employed by UP.

The University has always encouraged gender equality and academic advancement opportunities for women to increase the number of female professors and leading researchers.

Professor Tawana Kupe, vice-chancellor and principal of UP, mentioned the for higher education to mend the gender gap including in executive positions will set an example for society and make women in top leadership mainstream.
