Sibongiseni Ngcobo, 23, one of the youngest legislators with a strong knowledge of the country’s past knew from the age of six years that he wanted to be part of the decision makers of this country.
Ngcobo was born in Bulwer in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in 1995. He is a former DA councilor and now holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is currently studying towards his law degree. After politics, his plan is to start practicing as an attorney.
Ngcobo’s first-hand experience of the difficulties that young people across the country are going through, encouraged him to grow up with a strong desire to help others. With that being said, he looks to start a foundation that will help young people, especially in rural areas.
Sibongiseni Ngcobo vision as a 6-year-old boy has now become a reality as he is now DA’s youngest MP. He plans to use his position to help fight high unemployment levels in the country.
A quote he drew inspiration from:
“OUR LIVES BEGIN TO END THE DAY WE BECOME SILENT ABOUT THINGS THAT MATTER.” – MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
