Student Health & Wellness for May: Stress & Mental Health

As many as one in six South Africans suffer from depression, Anxiety and stress, this is according to the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). The University of Pretoria(UP) has developed an initiative through activations to talk to students about stress and mental health.

It calls on all its students to get involved, the activations are set up with the aim to improve quality of life and empowering students to manage their condition more effectively.

This will take place across 5 UP campuses based in Mamelodi, Hatfield, Onderstepoort, Groenkloof, and Prinshof.

“Remember, “doing your best” does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Let’s talk about how you can reduce stress!”
