Let’s build and be a knowledge driven society #Covid-19

The outbreak of Covid-19 in South Africa has over the weeks been met with different views. The most challenging aspect has been getting people to not only understand the grave dangers but also to practice being safe and preventing the spread of the virus.

As we all know within society there are different people and hence communicating in ways which will allow every individual to understand is not an easy task.

People within society have built a sense of community which could be a tool during this time to help educate, learn and become a knowledge driven society .

How do we do that?

• Practical explanations (Showing how to be and act in a safe manner)
• Passing down information in a language understandable to the next person
• Having influential people within the communities to assist to pass down information
• Knowledge is power, within communities certain people do not have access to essential informative channels, this is where our super markets, spaza shops, taxi operators, police stations can step in. Spread awareness through displaying posters, portraying that using languages people are able identify with
