EMC Student wins gold at skills competition

IT student from EMC comes first at National World Skills Competition

Brando Welgemoed, IT student from the EASTCAPE Midlands TVET College (EMC) , comes first at the National World Skills Competition which was held at the International Convention Centre in Durban.

This is an initiative to ensure that students are better equipped to settle and complete within any competitive environment.

The competition was open to students from TVET Colleges, Universities, Private Colleges and apprentices who specialise in web design, IT Network Systems Administration, welding, automobile technology and electrical installations.

Brando Welgemoed, competed in the IT Network Systems Administration category against 13 national entrants, which saw him winning a gold medallion and certificate in recognition of his outstanding performance.
