Day 2 of the World Tourism Day , looking into the opportunities within the tourism industry aimed at youth development, growing local businesses, and experiencing South Africa’s greatest sites.

Mzansi’s celebrities, KZN MEC’s, Minister and the Deputy Minister of Tourism gathered at the Nelson Mandela capture site in Kwa-Zulu celebrating the countries heritage, youth programmes, local businesses contributing towards the growth of the country’s tourism industry and tourist destinations.

SOMMELIERS, National Tourism Careers Expo, KZN sharks board and wild life educational programme, initiatives put in place to groom, skill and familiarise South Africa’s youth with opportunities within the tourism sector. A testament that toursim continues to move and grow South Africa’s youth.

The Minister of Tourism Mmamoloko Kubayi Ngubane, touched on the important role tourism can play towards economic growth South Africa.

“How are we going to place tourism at the center of our economy so that we can grow the economy and create jobs?”, Minister of Tourism Mmamoloko Kubayi Ngubane asked.

Good question and the right time as this year’s Tourism Month theme is Tourism and Jobs: a better future for all.
