The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation will award fellowships to deserving students within the following fields:
Matric students:
Engineering
Law
Commerce
Science
Humanities
Arts
Health Science (excluding Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science)
ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE & SELECTION PROCESS
The following study related expenses are covered by the fellowship award: tuition fees, prescribed books, accommodation at university residence, meals, monthly living stipend, tutor allowance. Students also receive academic support, mentorship and access to a personal development and entrepreneurial programme.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Matric students:
South African citizen
Under 21 years old in 2020
Currently in Matric
Achieved a minimum of level 5/ “C” symbol for Mathematics HG in Grade 11 finals
Achieved a minimum overall average of level 6/ “B” symbol in Grade 11 finals (excluding Life Orientation)
Intend on studying towards a degree qualification within one of the aforementioned fields of study
Intend on studying at one of the following partner universities: University of Johannesburg/ University of the Witwatersrand/ University of Pretoria/ University of Cape Town/ University of the Western Cape/ Stellenbosch University/ Rhodes University/ Nelson Mandela University/ University of KwaZulu-Natal/ University of the Free State

Reference from an Educator (stamped, signed and sealed in a separate envelope)
